JOSEPH KENT, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR,

for the said Lufkin Tall Traverse, alias Lufkin Tall, at all
times hereafter, to be called and known by, and hold and use
the name of Lufkin Tall Traverse, ami by that name to sue and
be sued in any court of law or equity; and it shall and may be
lawful for the issue of the said Lufkin Tail Traverse, alias
Lufkin Tall, heretofore or hereafter to be born, to take upon
themselves and each of them the surname of Traverse, and the
surname of the said Lufkin Tail Traverse, alias Lufkin Tall,
shall be, and is hereby changed and confirmed to the surname
of Traverse, and the issue of the said Lufkin Tall Traverse,
alias Lufkin Tall, born or hereafter to be born, shall at all
-times hereafter be called by and hold, and use the name of
Traverse, and be from henceforth called by the surname of
j Traverse.

CHAP. 5.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all securities, promises, con-
tracts, assurances, deeds, and lawful acts, (especially those as
justice of the peace,) whatsoever heretofore made and done,
or hereafter to be made and done, by or to the said Lufkin
Tall Traverse, alias Lufkin Tall, by the name of Lufkin Tali
Traverse, shall be of the same force and effect, and equally a-
vail to all intents and purposes, as if the name of Lufkin Tall
Traverse, had been the true and proper name of Lufkin Tall
Traverse, alias Lufkin Tail, from his birth, any law, statute,
or custom to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 6

 

An act to repeal an act, entitled, An act to exempt the servants
of Overseers of the county roads in Dorchester county from
doing duty on said roads, passed December session, eighteen
hundred and twenty six, chapter ten.

Passed January 10,

1823,

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the act entitled, An act to exempt the servants
of Overseers of the county road in Dorchester county, from
doing duty on said roads; passed December session eighteen
hundred and twenty six, chapter ten, be, and the same is here-
by repealed, any law, usage or custom to the contrary notwith-
standing.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the act entitled, An act to
exempt the servants of Overseers of the county roads in
Dorchester county, from doing duty on said roads, passed
December session eighteen hundred and twenty three, chapter
fifty one, be, and the same is hereby in full force and operation.

CHAPTER 7.

ed.

An act to fix the compensation of Jurors in Dorchester county.

Passed January 10,

1828.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That each and every juror hereafter to be summoned on
the regular pannel of jurors to Dorchester county court, shall
