thirty-five cents; to Edward D. Preston, the sum of one
hundred and sixty-six dollars and twenty-six cents; to Louis
Walters, the sum of ten dollars; to the Maryland Paving
Company, the sum of twenty-three dollars; to J. M. Watts,
the sum of sixty-one dollars and thirty-eight cents; to J. W.
Pugsley, the sum of five hundred and seventy-five dollars and
ninety-eight cents; to the Viaduct Manufacturing Company,
the sum of twenty dollars and eighty-five cents; to A. D.
Michael, the sum of three hundred and seventy-nine dollars

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 53.

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to provide for the inspection and the regulation
of the sale of milk or any or all other food products offered
for sale in the City of Baltimore, or intended for consump-
tion therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the mayor and city council of Baltimore
shall have power to provide by ordinance for the proper
