LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 55.

AN ACT to authorize the sale, lease or other disposition of
certain property held in trust by the Trustees of Zion
Church, in the City of Baltimore.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General Assembly by the
petition of said corporation, in behalf of itself and the mem-
bers of the German Lutheran Congregation of the city of
Baltimore, otherwise called the Evangelical Protestant Con-
gregation of the Unvaried Angsbury Confession of Faith,
commonly distinguished by the name of Lutheran, specially
designated by the name of the Zion Church of the city of
Baltimore, that they have found it necessary to sell, lease or
otherwise dispose of all or part of the three following lots, of
ground held by said corporation in trust for said congregation,
to wit : One lot embraced in a deed from Engelhardt Yeiser to
John Shriner et al., trustees, dated on or about the 14th Janu-
ary, 1793, and recorded among the land records of Baltimore
city, in Liber W. G. No. L. L., folio 230, &c.; one lot em-
braced in a deed from Alexander Lawson to Charles Wiesen-
thall et al., trustees, dated on or about the 27th May, 1771,
and recorded among said land records in Liber A. L. No. C.,
folio 722, &c.; and one other lot, embraced in a deed from
James McCollough et al. to said corporation, dated on or
about the 3d December, 1844, and recorded among said
land records in Liber T. K., No. 348, folio 156, that the pro-
ceeds of such sale, lease or other-disposition of said land
might be applied to other religious uses of said church or con-
gregation; and having prayed leave to this Legislature to make
such sale, lease or other disposition thereof, and that said cor-
poration may be authorized to make, execute and deliver deeds,
leases or other instruments of conveyance of said land, or such
part thereof as said congregation may find it necessary to sell
for the purposes aforesaid, and the prayer of said petition
appearing to be reasonable,

may dispose

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the corporation called the Trustees of Zion Church, in
the city of Baltimore, be and it is hereby authorized to'sell,
lease or otherwise dispose of, all or any part or parts of the
said lots of ground mentioned and described in the deeds
aforesaid, and held by said corporation in trust for said congre-
