For Norfolk, Petersburg and Richmond, Columbus
Capt. Toner; Pocohontas, Capt. Sutton; leaves the
lower end Speaers's wharf three limes a week, say
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, It one o'clock,
F. M. and arrives Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays,
from April to November; then twice a week till Jan-
uary; and once a week until March — the mail for
Norfolk is caried in this line. The Norfolk, Capt.
Parish, and the Virginia, Capt. Holmes, leave
same wharf with freight only, every Sunday morning,
far the same places.
For Alexandria, Washington and Georgetown. The
team packets Fredericksburg, Capt. B. J. Jenkins,
and Columbia, Capt. James Mitchell, leave Commerce
street wharf every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon
at 4 o'clock; returning, one of these boats leaves the
District every Sunday and Wednesday morning — from
Washington at 5, and Alexandria at 7 o'clock. Charles
Worthhington, agent.
Governor Wolcott, Capt. Wm. W. Verdon, leaves
Patterson st. wharf, for Havre-de-Grace and Port De-
posit, every Tuesday and Saturday, at 9 A. M.; returns
on Wednesdays and Sundays at 4 P. M. Also, for
Rockhall,Centreville and Chestertown,every Thursday
at 9 A. M.; returns on Friday at 4 P. M. William
Owen, agent, Patterson st. near the lower end w. side.
For Fredericksburg, Alez. Falls, & Co. agts, No. 3 &
4, Light street wharf The Rappahannock, Capt, Fair-
bank, leaves lover end of Light st. wharf, every
Sunday morning, at 6 o'clock, for Fredericksburgh, Va.:
wires here every Thursday morning.
Maryland, Capt. Lemuel G. Taylor, leaves the lower
end of Dugan's wharf, for Chestertown, every Mon-
day morning at six o'clock, returning same day: An-
napolis, Cambridge and Easton, on Tuesdays and Fri-
days at 7 A. M.; and Annapolis, only, at 9 A. M. on
Sundays; bat for winter arrangement, for Chestertown,
on Sundays at 9 A. M.
Patuxent, Capt. Geo. Weems, leaves the lower end
of Dugan's wharf, for Salisbury and Whitehaven, on
the Wicomico river, Eastern Shore, every Tuesday af-
ternoon at 6 P. M., arriving on her return, in Baltimore,
by the same route, on the succeeding Wednesday morn-
ings. For Benedict, on the Patuxent, W. Shore, every
Friday morning at 6 o'clock, stopping for passengers,
&c. at Town Creek, Herring Bay, &c. each way, ar-
riving in Baltimore on Sunday evening. James Har-
wood, Agent No. 7, Light st. wharf.

Todd's Line of New York Packets, every Saturday,
and oftener when necessary, from Smith's wharf— Jno.
W. Brown, agent.
The office of the Norfolk, Petersburg and Richmond
Line of Packets is kept at Tompkins & Coale's, Spear's
wharf, starts every Sunday.
The Union and Despatch Lines for Boston, Clark &
Kellogg, agents, starts each week from Bowly's whf.
Packets for Charleston and Savannah, starts once
a week from Spear's wharf. Charles Gwinn, agent.
For Rockhall, E. S from Bowly's wharf, Monday ,
Wednesday and Friday, at 9 o'clock, A. M.
A Packet for Rockhall and Chestertown, leaves Com-
merce st. whf. Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9 o'clock, A.M.
Centreville and Queenstown; from same place, every
Saturday
