REV. CHARLES GTMfOA fTMMINGS.

Rev. Charles Gilmor Cummings. A. B B.D., District Superintendent
Annapolis District, Washington Conference Methodist Episcopal Church,

Born in Baltimore; attended the public-schools of this city: entered
Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, In the fall of 1891, and graduated
with the degree of Bachelor of Arts on June 4, 1886. In fits sophomore
year at Lincoln University be won one of the medals offered by the
Garnet Literary Society for oratory. September, 1895. Rev. Cummings
matriculted at Drew Theological Seminary, Madison, N. J. This is one
of the leading schools of Methodist for training young men for the
Christian Ministry. Here he was the only negro in his claim. From
this institution he was
