The Board of Public School Commissioners awards a diploma to
those who complete the course in a satisfactory manner.

Graduates of this school are exempt from the academic examina-
tion prescribed by the Department of Education for untrained can-
didates. All candidates for positions in the elementary schools of
Baltimore must take the professional examination in the first ten of
the subjects named above.

Tuition is free to residents of Baltimore. Other students are re-
quired to pay an annual tuiton fee of about $42.00. No charge is
made for books or other material required in the course.
