EUGENE BROOKS

Mr. Eugene Brooks, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John H. Brooks, was born in
Washington, D. C., 1849. He is the
president of the Oldest Inhabitants'
Association. He married Miss O. Ev-
erett in the year 1873. He is the
father of four children: Norman E.
and Everett A. Brooks, of the Dis-
trict of Columbia; Mrs. Musette B.
Gregory, in Newark, N. J., and Mrs.
Oceana B. Marshall, in Saratoga, N.
Y. Mr. Brooks has been employed in
the United States Supreme Court for
forty years and is one of the most
highly respected citizens of Washing-
ton.

HENRY THOMAS

There is no man better Known in
the northwestern section of Baltimore
than Mr. Henry Thomas, who has for
a number of years resided at 1109
Druid Hill Avenue. He has had the
honor of assisting a number of young
men who are now prominent in the
business and professional world. He
is the father of Mrs. John Murphy,
Jr., Mr. L. Lloyd Thomas, Miss Juli-
ette Thomas, probation officer of this
city; Mr. Geo. L. Thomas, assistant
pharmacist, and Mrs. E. Verry
Stokes. He is a member of the exec-
utive committee for Colored Crippled
Children.
