WALTER T. DIXON

Walter T. Dixon, Dean of the Cortez W. Peters Business School,
was formerly in charge of the total Junior College when that
Institution was begun under the Federal Government.

Mr. Dixon has been engaged in the field of education for a
number of years and has served in the Public Schools of Wash-
ington, D. C., and on the faculty of the North Carolina College
for Negroes in Durham, N. C.

Columbia University has conferred both the Bachelor's and
Master's degrees upon Mr. Dixon. He is also a graduate of Bene-
dict College, Howard University, American School of Law, and
Central College oi Chiropractic.

The local Business School, the only one of its kind in the State
for the training of Negro youth for Commercial activities, has
made remarkable progress and has placed a great number of its
graduates in lucrative positions.

Mr. Dixon is a 32nd Degree Mason, an Odd Fellow, and at the
present time is treasurer of the graduate Chapter of the Alpha Phi
Alpha Fraternity.
