366 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Street School House, and lying between Franklin and Washing-
ton Streets; thence along the middle of said alley north of
Washington Street, eastwardly, to the alley running from Wask-
ington Street to Franklin Street, along the east side of the Bald-
win House; thence northwardly, along the middle of the last
mentioned alley, to the middle of Franklin Street; thence along
the middle of Franklin Street to the middle of North Potomac
Street; thence along the middle of North Potomac Street, south-
wardly, to the place of beginning.

For Ward Number Two: Beginning in the centre of the
Public Square and running thence, westwardly, with the south-
ern lines of ward number one, to the western boundary of the
City; thence southwardly and eastwardly, with the boundary
lines of the City, to the middle of the turnpike road leading to.
Sharpsburg; thence along the middle of said turnpike, and the
middle of South Potomac Street, to the place of beginning.

For Ward Number Three: Beginning in the centre of the
Public Square, and running southwardly, through the middle of
South Potomac Street and through the middle of the Sharps-
burg Turnpike to the southern boundary of the City; thence
with the boundaries of the City, eastwardly and northwardly,
to intersect a straight line drawn along the middle of Valentine
Street and Valentine Street Extended; thence westwardly along
said line to the middle of Jackson Lane or North Cannon Ave-
nue; thence southwardly, along the middle of said Avenue, to
the middle of East Franklin Street; thence southwardly two
hundred and seventy-six feet to an alley; thence along the mid-
dle of said alley to an alley running from East Washington
Street to East Franklin Street, in the rear of the Market House
property; thence northwardly, along the alley to the middle of
East Franklin Street; thence westward, along the middle of East
Franklin Street, to the middle of North Potomac Street; thence
along the middle of North Potomac Street, southwardly, to the
place of beginning.

Ford Ward Number Four: Beginning at the intersection of
the middle of North Potomac Street with Franklin Street, and
running thence, northwardly, along the middle of North Poto-
mac Street and Potomac Avenue and Potomac Avenue Extended
and the Hagerstown-Leitersburg Turnpike to the northern
boundary of the City; thence with the north and east boundary
lines of the City, eastward and southward, to intersect a straight
line drawn along the middle of Valentine Street and Valentine
