of himself or such, person, firm or corporation, in which he is
interested, or for whom he is acting, represents on a later day,
either orally or in writing, that such statement theretofore
made, if then again made on said day, would be then true,
when in fact, said statement if then made would be false, and
procures upon the faith thereof, for the benefit either of him-
self or of such person, firm or corporation, either or any of the
things of benefit mentioned in the first sub-division of this sec-
tion:

Shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be fined not more than
one thousand dollars ($1000. 00) or imprisoned for not more
than one year, or both in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from June 1, 1916.

Approved April 18th, 1916.

CHAPTER 371.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 83 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Stales and Notices, " said Sec-
tion to follow immediately after Section 101 of said Article
as enacted by Chapter 451 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1912, and to be designated as Sec-
tion 101A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new Section be, and the same is hereby
added to Article 83 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Sales and Notices, " said Section to follow
Section 101 of said Article as enacted by Chapter 451 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1912, and to be
designated as Section 101A, and to read as follows:

101A. Any vendor of a stock of goods, wares or merchandise
under the provisions of Section 98 of this Article, who shall
knowingly and willfully make, or deliver, or cause to be made
or delivered any statement required by said Section, of which
any material portion is false, or shall knowingly and willfully
fail to include the names of all the creditors of said vendor
and the amounts due each in said statement, shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be pun-
ished by a fine of not more than One thousand dollars ($1, 000)
