CHAPTER 177.

CHAP. 178

A supplement to an act to authorise and empower the Com-
missioners of Cecil county, to build a Bridge over the Big
Worth East Creek, at or near William Phillips, in said
county pasted at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty one

Passed Mar. 6, 1835

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Commissioners of Cecil county be, and they are hereby
authorised, at their discretion, to levy a sum of money, not
exceeding one hundred and seventy dollars on the assessa-
ble property of said county, to be collected as other county
charges are, and to be paid over to the commissioner or
commissioners whom they have heretofore appointed, or may
hereafter appoint under the provisions of the act to which
this is a supplement to contract for, and superintend the
construction of a bridge therein mentioned, and that such
commissioner or commissioners so appointed, or hereafter
to be appointed, as the case may be, shall render to the
commissioners of Cecil county, a full account of the manner

CHAPTER 178

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act for regulating and
inspecting Weights and Measures, used in this State

Passed Mar. 4 1835

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That from and after the passage of this act, the
standards of weights and measures now in possession of the
keeper of the same, for Anne Arundel county, shall be
deposited in the office of the Commissioners of said county,
and said keeper is hereby required to deliver them to the

Clerk of said Commissioners, and there to remain for the
trial and correction of the several weights and measures
belonging to the citizens of said county, and it shall be the
duty of the Clerk of the Commissioners, upon application,
to try and correct, brand, and mark, and stamp the same by
the said standard, for which services the said Clerk shall
