Broughton is ordered by the Court here to take into his Care and Possession John Pirkins
Orphan afd.    And all his Estate Real and Personal and further it is ordered that the afd. guardian
give good Sery to Comply with the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as Aforesd
And to deliver up unto the aforesaid Orphan his Heirs Exrs. or Admrs. all his Estate
Real and Personal that he shall take into his hands and Possession Peaceably &
Quietly Whenever the same should be Legally Required &c. Whereupon the said
John Broughton together with William Fleming and Michael Cluff of
Somerset County gentleman his Sery's all present here in Court in their proper
Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said John Pirkins in
Five hundred Pounds Current money of Maryland of their Bodies Goods or
Chattles Lands or Tenements Joyntly and severally to the use of the said
John Pirkins his heirs or Assigns to be made and Levied if it happin that
the said John Broughton guardian as aforesaid his heirs Exrs. or admrs. do not
Comply with the Law in Relation to such guardianship as afd. & do not deliver up
unto the afd. John Pirkins his heirs Exrs. or admrs. guardian or guardians all the
Estate Reall & personall of the said John Pirkins that he shall take into his hands
& Possession Peaceable & Quietly whenever the same should be Legally required &c.

John Crocket    John Crocket An Orphan of his own free Consent is Bound out by ye. Court
Bound to    here an apprentice According to Act of Assembly in such Case provided unto
William Stuart    William Stuart of Somerset County house Carpinter untill he Arrive at the Age

   the said John Crocket should arrive at the Age of Twenty one Years the said
John Crockett to Serve his said Master the full term afd. during which term the said apprentice
his said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments
                                                                                   in
Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he Shall doe and ^ all things as a good and faithfull
apprentice he shall Demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term
aforesaid in Consideration of Which Service the said William Stuart present here in Court
in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the same Court in Court Judicially
Sitting in manner and form following that is to Say that he the said William Stuart
Shall and will during the term afd. Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a house Carpenter
& to Read Write & Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and at the Experation of his servitude
give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise
find & provide for his said Apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing
Sufficient for Such an apprentices to have and wear during ye. term aforesaid &c
Whereupon the said William Stuart is ordered to give Sery for to Comply with the Covenants
aforesaid      Thereupon the said William Stuart together with William Venables and William Donohoe
of Somerset County Gentlemen his Sery's all present here in Court in their Proper persons acknowledged
themselves Indebted unto the afd. John Crocket in thirty Pounds Current money of Maryland on their
Bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and Tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the said John Corcket
his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the said William Stuart do not
during the term aforesaid Learn his said apprentice the trade of a house carpinter and to Read

Write and Cypher as far as ye Rule of three Inclusive and at ye. Experation of his Servitude ^ give him
