CHAPTER 6.

Passed Jan.16,1833

An act, entitled, a supplement to at act, entitled, an act
to incorporate the Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, in
Worcester county, passed at December session eighteen
hundred and thirty, chapter one hundred and two.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, no election hath ever been held according to
the second section of an act, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and thirtv, chapter one hundred and two
to which this is a supplement; And whereas, doubts are .en-
tertained whether any acts done by the committee of the
Presbyterian Church in Salisbury in Worcester county,
therein named, in consequence thereof, are valid, — There-
fore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an act passed at December session eigh-
teen hundred and thirty, to which this is a supplement,
be, and the same is hereby revived and perpetuated, and
that all acts and deeds of the committee of the Presbyterian
Church, in Salisbury in Worcester county, in virtue of their
incorporation, and which are not inconsistent with the laws
or constitutions of this State, or the United States, be, and
they are hereby made good and valid in law, and that all
deeds of bargain and sale, or leases or releases, given to said
committee, or to any person or persons in trust for said
church, for any interest or estate, in any lands or tene-
ments, or personal property, be, and they are hereby made
valid and effectual in law, to transfer the same interest or
estate, and the same interest or estate is hereby vested in
the said committee and their successors forever, for the use
of the Presbyterian Church, in Salisbury in Worcester
county.

Election of Com-

mittee

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the election of the suc-
cessors of the said committee and all the powers, privileges
and successions of said committee, shall be according to the
provisions contained in the original act to which this is a .
supplement, only that the first election shall be sometime
during the month of May, eighteen hundred and thirty
three, and sometime during each and every succeeding

Proviso.

May; Provided, that the said committee, or a majority of
them, mentioned in the act to which this is a supplement,
shall continue to act until they shall be superseded by the
election of a new committee.

And whereas, the members of the Presbyterian Church at
Rochawalking in Somerset county, and the members of the
