Bowles Green
 Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Honourable
the Lord prop.ry that now is for the body of Kent County
upon their Oath Do present that Bowles Green late
of S.t pauls parish in the County afd planter the
first Day of May Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and twenty
with force and arms at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction
of this Court one half of a Small Smiths Anvill of the Value of
fifty pounds of Tobacco of the Goods & Chattels of a Certain Henry Honor
then and there being found then and there feloniously Did Steal take &
bear away Contrary to the peace of y.e said Lord prop.ry that now is his good
rule and Government and against the Act of Assembly in Such Case made
& provided &c.a                                 M Howard Cler. pac.

                On the Back of y.e preceeding Indictment was Endorst as foll.s
                viz.t    A True p Thomas Piner foreman

    And the afd Bowles Green in his proper person Cometh and Saith that
he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the
afd Indictment it is alledged and thereof he putteth himself upon the
Country
                                                                Bowles Green in proper person

    And the afd Michael Howard Attorney of the said Lord prop.ry Cometh
and Saith that for as much as he hath not Evidence Sufficient to Maintain
the afd Charge in the Indictment afd Specified against the said Bowles
Green he will not procecute the same Indictment any further Therefore
it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town of Chester
in said County this Sixteenth Day of November Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and twenty five that the afd Bowles Green as to the Indictment
afd he go thereof without Day and be therefrom Acquitted Also it is Considered
that the said Bowles Green pay the Sume of Nine hundred and fifty Nine
pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of
this Court

for his appearance to this Court To Answer to the Indictment afd and now
here the s.d Bowles haveing Appeared Ordered that his Recognizance and
Suretys Recognizances be Discharged
