    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith he is
Guilty                                        T Francis p Lord prop.ry

    Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Kent County that he
Imediately cause to Come here twelve &c.a by whome &c.a who neither &c.a to
Recognize &c.a because as well &c.a of which s.d precept the s.d Sher to wit
Fred.k Hanson Gentl now here at this Day to wit the twenty Eighth Day
of Aprill Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty Six makes Return
that he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by his precept he was Comanded
And now here afterwards to wit the Day and year last mentioned Come
again the afd Lord prop.ry by Tench Francis his Clk of Indictments afd
as also the s.d Thomas Winn Who Stands at the Barr and the Jurors
of that Jury being Impaneld and Called likewise Came to witt, Edward
Worrell William Dean Elias Ringgold John Wooddall Tho.s Willems
Humphry Younger William Crow Francis Barney Samuel Norris
John Brisco Sam.l Groome John Clove who being Duely Elected tryed
and Sworn to Say the truth on the premisses upon their oath do say that
the afd Thomas Winn is Guilty of feloniously Stealing the afd
Roundlet as he Stands Indicted and by Edward Worrell their foreman
also say Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Courthouse
in the Town of Chester in s.d County this twenty Eighth Day of
Aprill Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty Six that the afd
Thomas Winn Stand in the pillory for the Space of two hours and that
afterwards he receive at the publick whipping post thirty one Lashes
well laid on his bare back till the blood appears as a punishment for
his afd Crime of feloniously Stealing the afd Roundlet According to
the force form and Effect of the Verdict afd also it is Considered that the
s.d Thomas Winn pay the Sume of Eleven hundred and Ninety one
pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of

    Ordered by the Court here at this Day to wit the Day and year last mention'd
that the Sher of Kent County take the afd Thomas Winn into his Custody
and Execute the punishment in the afd Judgment Specified & after ward
to bring him into Court again of which s.d precept y.e said Sherf to wit
Fred.k Hanson Gentl high Sher of Kent County makes Return on the
