Gentlemen of the House of Delegates,
WE have assented to your resolution respecting the appointment of a joint committee of both houses to in-
spect the government property appropriated for the use of the governor, and have appointed Mr. M'Elderry
and Mr. Whitely, on the part of the senate, to join the gentlemen named by you for that purpose.

Which was read.

ORDERED, That the second reading of the bill to establish a chancery tribunal on the eastern shore of this
state, and to alter and abolish all such parts of the constitution and form of government of this state as are
repugnant thereto, be postponed until to-morrow.

On motion, ORDERED, That Mr. Little and Mr. Briscoe be added to the committee appointed to prepare and
bring in a supplement to an act, entitled, An act for the speedy recovery of small debts out of court, and to
repeal the acts of assembly therein mentioned.

The following message was read.

Gentlemen ef the Senate,

WE propose, with the concurrence of your body, on —— next to go into a joint ballot for the election of a
senator to represent this state in the senate of the United States after the third day of March next.

Mr. Hall, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to encourage the destruction
of crows in the several counties of this state; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

The house adjourns until to-morrow morning 9 o'clock.

FRIDAY, November 28, 1806.

THE house met. Present the same members as on yesterday. The proceedings of yesterday were read.

The bill to incorporate the stockholders of the Mechanics Bank of Baltimore, and the bill to lay out and open
a certain road in Caecil county, were sent to the senate by the clerk.

The bill for the benefit of Charles Thomas Clarke and William Hall, devisees of Benjamin Hall, late of
Prince-George's county, deceased, was read the second time; passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

The bill annulling the marriage of George Sampson and Pamela his wife, was read the second time, and the
question put, Shall the said bill pass? Resolved in the. affirmative. Which bill was sent to the senate by the
clerk.

The report of the committee on the petition of Robert Swails, was read the second time, and the question
put, Will the house concur with the said report, and assent to the resolution therein contained? Resolved in
the affirmative.

On motion, the question was put, Will the house dispense with the 33d rule thereof? Resolved in the affir-
mative;

The question was then put, Will the house reconsider the report and resolution in favour of Robert Swails?
Resolved in the affirmative.

On motion, the question was then pur, That the further consideration thereof be postponed? Resolved in
the affirmative.

The house proceeded to the second reading of the message relative to the appointment of directors in the
Union Bank of Baltimore; on motion, the question was put, That the words " twenty-fourth" be stricken out?
Resolved in the affirmative.

The question was then put, That the words " twenty-eighth" be inserted in lieu of the word stricken out?
Resolved in the affirmative.

On motion, the question was put, That the blank therein be filled up with the words " Wednesday nest?"
Resolved in the affirmative.

The message being read throughout, the question was put, Will the house agree to the same? Resolved in
the affirmative; which was sent to the senate by the clerk..

On motion, Leave given to bring in a bill, entitled, A further additional supplement to an act, entitled, Ar
act to regulate the inspection of tobacco. ORDERED, That Mr. Hall, Mr. M'Pherson, Mr. Winder, Mr. Callis
and Mr. Woodward, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.

Mr. Winder, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, A supplement to an act, entitled,.
An act to lay out and open a public road in Hopkins's Neck, in Talbot county; which was read the first time
and ordered to lie on the table.

The house, according to the order of the day, proceeded to the second reading of the bill to establish a chan-
