Province or any of them of Kent County afores.d as Attending to y.e for
of these Lawes & orders shall be fitt to be Done.  Wee have also ordered
you and every someone or more of yo.u of which of the s.d Joseph Wilkes
James Ringgold Thomas Marsh Henry Hosier & John Tomson
[illegible] some of our Counsell be Present and also to be our Comission.rs
to Enquier by the ethes of Good & Lawfull men of y.e County afores.d
of all manner of Fellonys Witch Crafts Inchantments socerys
Magick acts Trespasses and forestaulings Ingrosings and
Extortions Whatsoever: And of all & singuler other Misdeeds &
offenses of w.r Justices of y.e Pease in England may or ought Lawfull
to Enquire after: And by whomsoever: And Whomsoever done or
Perpitrated or w.r hereafter shall happen to be Don or Perpitrated
in y.e County afores.d Against y.e Lawes & orders off our s.d Province
Provided yo.u Proceed not in any the Cases afores.d to take life or
members: But that in every said Case yo.u send the Prisoners w.th their
Indictments And the whole Matter Depending before you in the next
Provintiall Courtt to be holden for our Afores.d Province whensoever
or wheresoever to be holden There to be tryed: And further wee
Doo hereby Athorize yo.u to Isue writts Proseses Arests & Attachments
to hold Plea of Oyer & Terminor & after Judgment executed
to Award in all Cases Cruell whether in Actions Reall or Personal
where the thing in Icon Doth exceed the vallew of three Thousand
pounds of tobacco According to the Lawes orders and Resonable
Coustomes made & verd in our s.d Province of Maryland in w.ch Cases
Criett so to be tryed Wee Doe Constitute Ordene and apoynt you
Joseph Wilkes James Ringgold Thomas Marsh Henry Hosier
John Tomson to be Judges as Afores.d unless some of our Councel
be then in Court And Therefore we Comand yo.u that yo.u Elegently
Contend y.e Keeping of the Peace Lawes orders & all & singular other
y.e Promisses and att Cortaine Dayes Apoynt according of Assembly
in that Case provided and such Plates which you or any fewer or more
of you as afores.d shall in that behalfe Apoynt yo.u make Enquires
