along the center of Canal street, thence southwardly along the center of Canal street to the place
of beginning.

8th ward.—beginning where a line drawn along the center of Jones's falls would intersect a
line drawn along the center of Hillen street, thence northwardly along the center of Jones's falls,
to the northern boundary line of the city, thence along said line eastwardly to the center of the
Bel Air avenue, thence southwestwardly along the center of the Bel Air avenue to a line drawn
along the center of Chew street, thence westwardly along the center of Chew street, to a line
drawn along the center of Stirling street, thence southwardly along the center of Stirling street to
a line drawn along the center of Madison street, thence westwardly along the center of Madison
street to a line drawn along the center of Ensor street, thence southwestwardly along the center
of Ensor street to a line drawn along the center of Hillen street, and thence southwestwardly
along the center of Hillen street to the place of beginning.

9th ward.—Beginning at a point where the water of the basin is intersected by Pratt and Light
streets, and running thence to the center of Pratt street, thence along the center of Pratt street to
a line drawn along the center of Charles street, thence northwardly along the center of Charles
street to a line drawn along the center of Baltimore street, thence eastwardly along the centre of
Baltimore street to the center of Jones's falls, thence southwardly along the center of Jones's falls
to the water of the city dock, and thence bounding on the water of said dock, and of the northwest
branch of the Patapsco river, and of the basin to the place of beginning.

10th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Charles street would intersect a
line drawn along the center of Baltimore street, and running thence northwardly along the cen-
ter of Charles street to a line drawn along the center of Pleasant street, thence eastwardly along
the center of Pleasant street to the center of Jones's falls, thence southwardly along the center of
Jones's falls to a line drawn along the center of Baltimore street, and thence westwardly along
the center of Baltimore street to the place of beginning.

11th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Howard street would intersect
a line drawn along the center of Saratoga street, and running thence northwardly along the cen-
ter of Howard street to a line drawn along the center of Cathedral street, thence northwardly
along the center of Cathedral street to the northern boundary line of the city, thence along said
line eastwardly to the center of Jones's falls, thence southwardly along the center of Jones's falls
to a line drawn along the center of Pleasant street, thence westwardly along the center of Pleas-
ant, street to a line drawn along the center of Charles street, thence southwardly along the center
of Charles street to a line drawn along the center of Saratoga street, and thence westwardly along
the center of Saratoga street to the place of beginning.

12th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Howard street would intersect
a line drawn along the center of Lexington street, running thence northwardly along the center
of Howard street to a line drawn along the center of Madison street, thence westwardly along the
center of Madison street to a line drawn along the center of St. Mary street, thence south-west-

wardly along the center of St. Mary street to a line drawn along the center of George street,
thence westwardly along the center of George street to a line drawn along the center of Pine
street, thence southwardly along the center of Pine street to a line drawn along the center of Lex-
ington street, and thence eastwardly along the center of Lexington street to the place of be-
ginning.

13th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Saratoga street would inter-
sect a line drawn along the center of Howard street, running thence eastwardly along the center
of Saratoga street to aline drawn along the center of Charles street, thence southwardly along
the center of Charles street to a line drawn along the center of Pratt street, thence westwardly
along the center of Pratt street to aline drawn along the center of Howard street, and thence
northwardly along the center of Howard street to the place of beginning.

14th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Howard street would intersect
a line drawn along the center of Pratt street, and running thence northwardly along the center
of Howard street to a line drawn along the center of Lexington street, thence westwardly along
the center of Lexington street to a line drawn along the center of Pine street, thence southwardly
along the center of Pine street to a line drawn along the center of German street, thence west-

wardly along the center of German street to a line drawn along the center of Fremont street,
thence southwardly along the center of Fremont street to a line drawn along the center of Pratt
street, and thence eastwardly along the center of Pratt street to the place of beginning.

15th ward.—Beginning at a point formed by the intersection of Pratt and Light streets

with the water of the basin, and running thence to the center of Pratt street, thence westwardly
along the center of Pratt street to a line drawn along the center of Howard street, thence south-
wardly along the center of Howard street to a line drawn along the center of Montgomery street,
thence eastwardly along the center of Montgomery street to the water of the north-west branch
of the Patapsco river, thence along the line of the water of the said north-west branch and of the
basin to the place of beginning.

16th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the centre of Pratt street would intersect a
line drawn through the centre of Howard stteet, and running thence westwardly along the cen-
ter of Pratt street to a line drawn along the centre of Fremont street, thence southwardly along
the center of Fremont street to a line drawn along the center of Eutaw street, thence northwardly
along the center of Eutaw street to a line drawn along the center of Montgomery street, thence
