ard street, and thence northwardly along the center of Howard street to the place of beginning.

17th ward.—Beginning at a point formed by the intersection of a line drawn along the center
of Montgomery street with the water of the north-west branch of the Patapsco river, and running
thence westwardly along the center of Montgomery street to a line drawn along the center of
Eataw street, thence southwardly along the center of Eutaw street to the water of the middle
branch of the Patapsco river, and thence along the line of the water of the middle, main, and
north-west branches of the Patapsco river to the place of beginning.

18th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Eutaw street would intersect a
line drawn along the center of Fremont street, thence southwardly along the center of Eutaw
street to the water of the middle branch of the Patapsco river, thence along the water of the said
middle branch and of Gynn's falls to the western boundary line of the city, thence northwardly
along said line to a line drawn along the center of Lexington street, thence eastwardly along the
center of Lexington street to a line drawn along the center of Pine street, thence southwardly
along the center of Pine street, to a line drawn along the center of German street, thence west-
wardly along the center of German street to a line drawn along the center of Fremont street, and
thence southerly along the center of Fremont street to the place of beginning.
19th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Lexington street would inter-
sect a line drawn along the center of Pine street, running thence westwardly along the center of
Lexington street to the boundary line of the city, thence northwardly along said line to the north-
ern boundary line of the city, thence eastwardly along said line to a line drawn along the center
of Pennsylvania avenue, thence southeastwardly along the center of Pennsylvania avenue to a
line drawn along the center of George street, thence westwardly along the center of George street
to a line drawn along the center of Pine street, and thence southwarly along the center of Pine
street to the place of beginning.

20th ward.—Beginning where a line drawn along the center of Pennsylvania avenue would in-
tersect the northern boundary line of the city and running thence eastwardly along said northern
boundary line to a line drawn along the center of Cathedral street, thence southwardly along the
center of Cathedral street to a line drawn along the center of Howard street, thence southwardly
along the center of Howard street to a line drawn along the center of Madison street, thence west-
wardly along the center of Madison street to a line drawn along the center of St. Mary street,
thence along the center of St. Mary street to a line drawn along the center of Pennsylvania ave-
nue, and thence north-eastwardly along the center of Pennsylvania avenue to the place of
beginning.
