SPECIAL SESSION.

ANNAPOLIS, MD., Tuesday, July 29, 1930.

STATE OF MARYLAND, TO WIT:

This being the day designated by his Excellency, the Honorable
Albert C. Ritchie, Governor of Maryland, for a Special Session
of the General Assembly of Maryland at 12 o'clock, noon, this day.

At noon, Albert J. Almoney, Chief Clerk of the House of Dele-
gates for the January Session of 1929, called the House to order,
and after the following prayer, by the Reverend Edward T. Read
of Talbot County,

"Oh! God of Life and Light and Love, our Heavenly
Father, we humbly bow before Thee to invoke Thy blessing
upon our assemblying. Bless the people of our land that we
may be a people after Thine own heart. Guide Thy servants,
who sit in places of authority, with Thy spirit that they may
rule in righteousness. May Thy kingdom come and Thy will
be done. Forgive our sins, increase our faith, and save us
through the mercies of Jesus Christ, our Lord,"

the Chief Clerk proceeded by reading the following proclamation
by the direction of Speaker E. Brooke Lee:

Proclamation Convening the General Assembly of Maryland in

Extra Session at Annapolis, Tuesday, July 29, 1930, at

12 O'clock, Noon, Standard Time.

WHEREAS a new general registration for Baltimore City is re-
quired by law to be held this year in order to qualify citizens of
Baltimore to vote at the general election in November, 1930; and
