Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County
on the third tuesday in March being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and thirty one That the afd Rachel Robinson Receive on bare back five
lashes well laid on tell the blood appear as a punishment for Committing the Crime of
fornication afd And also it is Considered that the afd Rachel pay the Sum of
two hundred and fifteen pounds of Tobacco costs accrueing on the premisses afd
to the officers of this Court

    It is also Considered by the Court here at this day to wit the Same day last
mentioned  That the Sherrif of Kent County take the afd Rachel Robinson into his
Custody and Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd Specified and afterwards to
bring her into Court againe  Of which precept to wit Joseph Young high Sherrif
of Kent County makes Return on the day and year last Said that he hath Executed
the punishment in the Judgment afd and also hath here the Said Rachel
Robinson before the Court

Lord prop.ry that now is for the body of Kent County upon
their Oath do present that Robert Mullin late of S.t
Pauls Parish in the County afd Labourer the tenth day of
June Anno Domini Seventeen hundred thirty & one at the parish afd in the County
afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court did Committ fornication with Rachel
Robinson and then and there did beget a bastard child on the body of her the
Same Rachel to the High displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example
of all others in Such case offending contrary to the peace of the Said Lord
prop.ry his good rule and government and against the form of the Act of
Assembly in Such case made and provided
                Test Rachel Robinson On the back of the Same was endorsed as
foll. a true Bill p Edward Worrell foreman
                And the afd Robert Mullin in his proper person comes and Saith that
he cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against him brought nor but
that he is guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the afd
Indictment it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court  Therefore
it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at a Court held for Kent County
at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday
in March being the twenty first day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred pounds of Tobacco as a fine for Committing the offence afd according
to Act of Assembly in Such case made &c.a  And also it is Considered
that the afd Robert pay the Sum of One hundred and Ninety four pounds
of Tobacco costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court
