Memorand.m that on the on the 30.th of June 1732 personally
appeared before me John Evans one of his Lordships
Justices of the peace for Kent County William Copper of
the Said County Inholder and did Acknowledge himself to
owe and Stand Justly indebted unto the Right Honourable
the Lord prop.ry of this province in the Sum of ten pounds of his goods and Chattles
Lands and Tenements to be made and Leveyed to the use of the Said Lord prop.ry
his heirs and Successors  in case that Lydia Bruton Shall not make her
personally appearance at our next County Court to be held for Kent County
the third tuesday in August next to testyfie the truth of her knowledge
Concerning a Certain felony by a Certain Margaret Wood of the Same County
Spinster Supposed to be Committed  Certifyed by me    John Evans

    And now here at the Said third tuesday in August being the fifteenth day
of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and and thirty two came the afd
Lydia Bruton and appeared to the afd Recognizance    Ordered that the
Same be disch.d    This Court here discharges the same Recognizance

    And the Grand Jury returns an Indictment of felony against the Same
for Stealing Goods of William Coppers Signd a true bill Edw.d Worrell
foreman

    And the afd Margaret at this Court appears to Same and Says She is not guilty
and thereupon the Same Continued untill next Court being the third tuesday in
Novemb.r next    Ordered by the Court here that John Gresham keep the
afd Margaret Wood in Safe Custody untill the third tuesday in November
next and then to answer the Indictm.t afd &c.a

    Ordered by the Court here that Lydia Bruton enter into Recognizance
for her appearance at next November Court as an Evid.c ag.st the Same
Thereupon the Same Lydia Bruton in her proper person cometh into Court
and Acknowledges her Self indebted to the Right Honrable the Lord prop.ry
in the Sum of five pounds Sterl to be paid to his s.d Lordship his heirs and
Successors to be made and Leveyed on her body goods and Chattells Lands
and Tenements Conditionally that if She Shall not appeare at next Nov.r
