 Kent County fs  The Jurors for the right honourable
the Lord prop.ry that now is for the body of Kent County
afd upon their Oath do present that Thomas Tarrington
late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd Labourer the
tenth day of June Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and two with force and
Arms at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court
one Sheep of the Value of one hundred pounds of Tobacco of the goods and
Chattles of Mary Dunn then and there being found then and there feloniously
did Steal take and bear away contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his
good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such
case lately made and provided
                                                Test Ja.s Ringgold Jos Gerard on the Same
Indictment was endorsed as foll. viz.t a True bill p Edw.d Worrell foreman

    And the afd Thomas Tarrington in his proper person cometh and Saith
that he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by
the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereof he putteth himself upon the
Country                                                            Tho Tarrington in p.r p.a

    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith he
is guilty

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he
immediately Cause to come here twelve &c.a By whom &c.a Who neither &c.a because
as well &c.a Of which Said precept the Said Sherrif to wit John Gresham Gent
now here at this day to wit the third tuesday in August being the fifteenth day of
Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two makes return that
he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by his precept he was Commanded and now
here afterwards to wit the day and Year last mentioned came againe the afd
Ld prop.ry by his att.ry afd and the afd Thomas Tarrington in his proper
and the Jurors of that Jury being Impanneled and called likewise came to
wit Robert Dunn Morgan Hurt George Medford Bulman Medford Francis
Barney Jeremiah Covington John True William Clarke John Williams
George Browning Nich.o Massey ^&^ William Woodland who being duely
Elected tryd and Sworn to Say the truth in the premisses upon their
Oath do Say that Thomas Tarrington is not guilty of the felony
as above mentioned and by Robert Dunn there foreman all So Say
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at a Court
