The Speaker pro tem administered the oath of office to the fol-
lowing members of the House of Delegates:

Mrs. Lena L. Moore, John F. McNulty, Ralph W. Lowman, Ealph
George Shure, Rudolph A. Carrico, and James C. Morton.

The Speaker pro tem next called for nominations for the office
of Speaker of the House of Delegates for the Special Session of 1946.

Whereupon, Mr. John Luber nominated Mr. John S. White, of
Prince George's County, which nomination was seconded by Mr.
Milton Dick, of Allegany County.

There being no further nominations for Speaker for the Special
Session of 1946, the Honorable John S. White, of Prince George's
County, was elected Speaker for the Special Session of 1946 by
years and nays as follows:

S. White elected as Speaker of the House for the Extraordinary
Session of December 27, 1946.
