LAWS OF MARYLAND OF 1941

MARYLAND, Sct.:

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held in the City of Annapolis, on the First day of
January. 1941, and ending on the Thirty-first day of
March, 1941, the Honorable Herbert R. O'Conor, being
Governor of the State, the following Laws were en-
acted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1.

(Senate Bill 56)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
243 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Washington County", sub-title "Hagers-
town", as enacted by Chapter 546 of the Acts of 1939,
relating to the dates and hours for the registration and
re-instatement of voters in Hagerstown.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 243 of Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington
County", sub-title "Hagerstown", as enacted by Chapter
546 of the Acts of 1939, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

243. The said officers of registration, appointed for any
registration district in the City of Hagerstown, shall en-
dorse upon the back and write at the head of each registry
of voters, delivered to them as aforesaid, the number
of the ward of which said books may be respectively, the
registries of said voters; and shall sit for the purpose of
ascertaining and registering in the said two duplicate reg-
isteries of voters of each of the wards of which they may
be officers of registration, at some place to be selected by
them, as convenient as possible to all residents of
said wards, for two successive days in March, in the year
1941 and every four years thereafter; said sittings to
begin on the first Tuesday in March in the year 1941
and on the first Tuesday in March every four years there-
after. They shall also sit on Wednesday of the following
