vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 73)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
487 of the Anne Arundel County Code (1947 Edition), (be-
ing Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Anne Arundel County7', sub-title "Sanitary
Districts", as said section was amended by Chapter 151 of
the Acts of 1949, relating generally to the Sanitary Dis-
tricts of Anne Arundel County and to the Commissioners
and the Secretary-Treasurer therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 487 of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1947 Edition), (being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Sanitary Districts", as said section was amended by Chapter
151 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
487. (a) For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of
this sub-title, the said Sanitary District, and every new Sani-
tary District created hereafter, shall be under the jurisdic-
tion of a Commission of three educated persons, who shall
reside within a Sanitary District of Anne Arundel County, be
resident taxpayers of said County and qualified voters
thereof. The term of each of the three members shall be
three years and until their successors are appointed and have
qualified. The three Commissioners now constituting the
Commission shall hold office until the expiration of the terms
for which they were respectively appointed. As the term of
each of the Commissioners now serving expires, he or his
successor shall be appointed by the Board of County Com-
