county, on payment of the usual fees to the clerk of Bal-
timore county court, and copies of, or extracts from the
said record of distribution shall be admissible in evidence
in any court of law or equity in this slate.

 

CHAPTER 351.

Passed March
7, 1844.

An act to enable Robert H. Lanham, former collector of
Prince George's county to complete his collections.

Authorised to
collect.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Robert H. Lanham, former collector of
county taxes, for Prince George's county, be and he is
hereby authorised and empowered to collect any taxes or
balances of taxes due him as collector in the same manner
as he could or might have done, within the time limited by
law.

Make affida-
vit

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Robert H
Lanham, before he proceeds to collect any taxes, shall pre-
sent to each individual a bill of such taxes so due, and if
such individual or individuals, shall make oath or affirma-
tion before a justice of the peace, that he she or they have
heretofore paid or settled said taxes, such oath or affirma-
tion shall be a full sett off and forever bar the collection of
such taxes.

In force one
year.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
in force for and during the year eighteen hundred and forty-
four.

 

CHAPTER 352.

Passed March
6, 1844.

An additional supplement to the act entitled, an act to
authorise the Governor and Council of Maryland, to
appoint the inspectors of flour for this State, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-Jive,
chapter one hundred and seventy-four.

mark.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act, it
shall be the duty of each inspector of flour in the city of
Baltimore, to brand or mark every barrel or cask, which
he shall judge to be merchantable in the same manner as
