Resolution directing the Treasurer of the Western
Shore to advance to the Annapolis and Elk Ridge
Rail Road Company the sum of thirty thousand dol-
lars, out of any unappropriated money in the Trea-
sury, on account of the State's subscription to the
capital stock of said company.
Resolvedly the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is here-
by authorised and required to advance to the Annapo-
lis and Elk Ridge Rail Road Company, out of any un-
appropriated money in the treasury, the sum of thirty
thousand dollars, on account of the State's subscrip-
tion to the capital stock of the said company.
Resolved further, That the treasurer be, and he is
hereby authorised and required to retain for the gene-
ral purposes of the treasury the sum of thirty thousand
dollars, out of any monies which may first come into
the treasury on the proceeds of sales of any stock is-
sued as aforesaid, or to be issued under the provisions
of the act for the promotion of internal improvements,
passed at the adjourned May session, eighteen hundred
and thirty-six, chapter three hundred and ninety-five,
and which may be applicable to the payment of the
State's subscription to the capital stock of the said
company, to reimburse the State for the advance pro-
vided for by the first resolution.

Resolution authorising an appropriation to furnish the
Government House.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore, pay to the order
of his excellency the Governor of Maryland, out of
any unappropriated money, a sum not exceeding in the
aggregate, four thousand dollars, to be expended so
far as shall be necessary in the furnishing of the Go-
vernment House.
