LAWS OF MARYLAND OF 1952

MARYLAND, Sec:

At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun
and held in the City of Annapolis on the Sixth day
of February, 1952, and ending on the Sixth day of
March, 1952, the Honorable Theodore R. McKeldin,
being Governor of the State, the following Laws
were enacted, to wit:

CHAPTER 1
(House Bill 74)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
99 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), as amended by Chapter 199 of the
Acts of 1949, title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish,"
sub-title "Regulations for Taking of Game and Fresh
Water Game Fish in Non-Tidal Waters," relating to the
use of fish pots in certain waters of Washington County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 99 of Article 99 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), as amended by
Chapter 199 of the Acts of 1949, title "Birds, Game and
Inland Water Fish," sub-title "Regulations for Taking of
Game and Fresh Water Game Fish in Non-tidal Waters,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

99. (Gigs and Bait Fish Nets.) (a) It shall be unlawful
for any person to use or attempt to use a gig or gig iron or
a light or nets or seines, fish pots, or other fishing rigs other
than permitted in this Article. It shall be deemed prima
facie evidence that same was in possession for the purpose
of violating this section.
