fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 440
(House Bill 745)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners", said new section to be known
as Section 2E, to follow immediately after Section 2D there-
of, as said Section 2D was amended by Chapter 65 of the
Acts of 1951 and to be under the sub-title "General Provi-
sions", providing for the payment of supplementary retire-
ment benefits to certain retired school teachers in Frederick
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947
Supplement), title "County Commissioners", said new section
to be known as Section 2E, to follow immediately after Section
2D thereof, as said Section 2D was amended by Chapter 65 of
the Acts of 1951 and to be under the sub-title "General Pro-
visions", and to read as follows:

2E. In Frederick County, in addition to the payments pro-
vided for in Section 2D above, the County Commissioners are
hereby authorized and directed to pay the further and addi-
tional amount of $8. 00 each month to each of the retired
teachers who are eligible to receive payments under the pro-
visions of said Section 2D. The County Commissioners of
Frederick County shall levy such additional sum as may be
required to pay such amount to each of said teachers.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
