title "Revenue and Taxes, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 954 of the Acts of 1945, authorizing the
County Commissioners of Carroll County to set the com-
pensation of the Tax Collector and Assistant Tax Col-
lector of Carroll County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 313A of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County, "
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " as said section was amend-
ed by Chapter 954 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:
313A. The Collector of State and County taxes in Car-
roll County is hereby authorized to appoint an assistant.
Said collector and assistant shall receive in equal monthly
installments [annual salaries of not exceeding Twenty-
four hundred dollars ($2, 400) and Fifteen hundred dol-
lars ($1, 500), respectively, ] such annual salaries as shall
be set from time to time by the County Commissioners,
and said collector and assistant shall be entitled to no fees,
commissions or compensation other than said salaries. The
County Commissioners of said county shall annually levy
and collect from the assessable property in Carroll County
a sum of money sufficient to pay said salaries.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
