To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 203
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a special election held in the Town
of College Park, Prince George's County, Maryland, on Mon-
day, May 7, 1951 an Act known as Chapter 405 of the Acts of
1951, was submitted to the voters of the said Town of College
Park, for their adoption or rejection under the provisions of
Article 16 of the Constitution of the State, said Act being:

AN ACT authorizing the Mayor and Common Council of
the Town of College Park, to levy a special assessment to
make contracts and to pass ordinances for the collection
and disposal of trash.

AND I DO CERTIFY, that at said election 596 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 405 of the Acts of 1951,
and 350 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act,
and a majority being cast in favor of the said referred law, it
has therefore been ratified by the voters of the Town of College
Park.
