Constitution bills vetoed after adjournment of the Legis-
lature must be returned by the Governor to the next regular
or special session of the General Assembly. The bill was re-
passed over the Governor's veto by the House on February
4, 1954, and in the Senate on February 8, 1954. It will be-
come effective on June 1,1954.

CHAPTER 3
(House Bill 788)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
390A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel
County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Licenses", as said
section was enacted by Chapter 625 of the Acts of 1949,
providing that auto and motorcycle races shall be per-
mitted on Sunday in Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 390A of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Licenses", as said section was enacted by Chapter 625 of
the Acts of 1949, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

390A. The Board of County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County, or the person or persons appointed by said
Board for this purpose, shall examine all applicants for
licenses issued under the authority of Sections 383 to 390,
inclusive, of this Article (including Bingo) and shall
examine all places in which said proposed licensed event or
business is to be operated. The said Board of County
Commissioners in its discretion shall have the power to
appoint a person or persons to exercise the authority
conferred on said Board by this section. If the Board or
person or persons appointed by said Board for this pur-
pose find that the applicant is not a fit person to receive
the license applied for or that the operation of the business,
