1928 CERTIFICATES OF REFERENDA
1951, Ch. 700—Anne Arundel County
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R, REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election held on
November 4, 1952, in the State of Maryland, an Act known
as Chapter 700 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1951, was submitted to the voters of the 1st
and 2nd Election Districts of Anne Arundel County, Mary-
land, for their adoption or rejection, under the provisions
of Chapter 700 of the Acts of 1951, said Act being:
"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sub-
Section (c) of Section 25 of Article 2B of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1947 Supp. ) relating to
the sale of hard liquor in the 1st and 2nd Election
Districts of Anne Arundel County".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election the votes cast for
and against the said Act were as follows:
First Election District of Anne Arundel County
For the Act Against the Act
747 1144
Second Election District of Anne Arundel County
For the Act Against the Act
1011 958
Since a majority of the votes in the First Election Dis-
trict of Anne Arundel County, were cast against the adop-
tion of said Chapter 700 of the Acts of 1951, the said Act
failed of ratification in the First Elections District.
In the Second Election District of Anne Arundel County,
the majority of the votes were cast in favor of the adoption
of said Chapter 700 of the Acts of 1951, and the said Act has,
therefore, been ratified by the voters of the Second Election
District of Anne Arundel County.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed hereto my
(Secretary of Official Seal, at the City of Annapolis, this
State's Seal) 29th day of November, 1952.
JOHN R. REEVES,
Secretary of State.
