Five trustees
to be selected.

An act to increase the number of Trustees of Primary
schools in Kent County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in lieu of the three trustees heretofore
authorised to be appointed, there shall be five trustees
selected for each primary school district of Kent county,
to manage the concerns of such district, agreeably to the
provisions of the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-five,
chapter three hundred and three, section three.

Clerk to give
notice.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the clerk of Kent county court, to give public notice
of the provisions of this act.

A supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorporate the
Frederick and Emmittsburg Turnpike Company, passed
at December session eighteen hundred and forty-four,
chapter one hundred and thirty-six.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
That the amount of stock subscribed to furnish the Turn-
pike road to Emmittsburg, was not sufficient to complete
the said road, and that it would be greatly beneficial to
the city of Frederick and Frederick county, that the road
should be completed to such point as the funds subscrib-
ed, or which could be borrowed upon the credit of the
Company would be adequate — Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That subscription books be opened by Isaac
Baugher, James A. Shorb, Joshua Motter, Felix B.
Taney, William Patterson, William E. Sanders, George
Hawman, John Arther, Henry Rouzer, William Selton,
Peregrine Fitzhugh, George Scholser, Frederick Cronice,
Danial Snook, F. A. Schley, Doct. Wm. Tyler, Richard
Potts, Basil Norris, Alexander B. Hanson at such time and
place as they or a majority of them may determine, for a
