COUNTY—

dollars.

The receivers appointed shall when

qualified as hereafter provided take

charge of all the goods and effects, &c.,

Other than real estate of said individu-

al, &c., against whom petition shall be

preferred, including all bonds, mortga-

ges, &c., together with all open and

book; accounts, &c., and sell and dispose

of the goods, &c., of said individual,

&c., who shall have refused, &c. , to pay

&c., upon such terms as the court may

direct, and collect and make available

the bonds, &c., and said receiver shall

as soon as he shall have settled up the

business of said individual, &c., by

sale, &c., shall pay off, &c., the debts

due from said individual, &c., to the

person in their employ, &c., and to the

furnisher of ore, &c., and if the pro-

ceeds of the goods, &c., of said indi-

vidual, &c., and debts, &c., owing to,

&c., committed to the management of

said receiver, &c., shall not be sufficient

to pay, &c., then the party, &c., to the

petition, &c., shall be paid pro rata,

&c., provided that no attachment, &c.,

nor mortgage, &c., or other lien law

except such as heretofore provided

prior to this act for the benefit of me-
chanics, shall reach, &c., or operate as

a lien upon the goods, &c., of said indi-

vidual, &c., nor on any debt, &c., due

to him, &c., so as to operate to the pre-

judice of the claim of the persons in

his employ, &c.

Every sheriff or coroner having any

attachment or execution against the

goods, &c., of any individual, &c., en-

gaged in mining, &c., to examine

whether said individual, &c., be in-

debted as aforesaid, and if so, to exempt

from levy, a sufficiency of the property

of the character, &c., to meet all such

indebtedness, &c., and if the persons
