Resolution authorising the State Librarian to furnish
certain Literary Institutions in this State with copies
of Dorsey's Laws of Maryland, &c.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Librarian be and he is hereby directed la
furnish to the Cambridge Library Association of Dor-
chester county, to the Brookville Library Association
of Montgomery county, and to the Mercantile Asso-
ciation of the city of Baltimore, each one a copy of
Dorsey's Laws; provided, that in his judgment the
same can be so furnished without detriment to the
Library.

Preamble and resolution in relation to certain Militia
Officers' Commissions, which have expired, to be
renewed on certain conditions herein set forth, &c.

WHEREAS, It is represented to the General Assem-
bly, that many of the Militia Officers of this State,
whose commissions have been vacated by the opera-
tion of Resolution number eighty-four, of the sessions
of eighteen hundred and forty-seven, were equiped
and provided with the necessary and proper uniform
of their respective rank and command, as required by
said resolution, and merely failed to report themselves
to the Adjutant General, on or before the first day of
October, eighteen hundred and forty-eight, as further
required by the said resolution — Therefore,
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all of said officers who shall, on or before the
first day of June next, furnish to the Adjutant General
satisfactory evidence that they were, at the period of
time designated in said resolution, in such a state of
equipment and preparation as to uniform, and so forth,
as is required by said resolution, shall be and they
are hereby restored to the rank and grade which they
then respectively held, and the Adjutant General is
hereby authorised and directed in restore the names
of such officers to their former places on the militia.
