shall be paid out of any unappropriated money in the
treasury; and it shall be the duty of the said inspec-
tors to transmit to the governor and council, an ac-
count of the expenditure of the said sum, to be by
them, laid before the General Assembly.

An act to alter the time of holding the County
Court of Harford county.
|
Court shall be
held on the
fourth Monday
in August.
|
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in future, the county court for the
county of Harford shall be held on the fourth Mon-
day in the month of August yearly and every year,
instead of the second Monday in August.

An act authorising Elizabeth Luckett of Fred-
erick County to remove certain negroes into the
state of Maryland.
|
preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Luckett of Frederick
county, hath, by her petition to this General Assem-
bly set forth, that she is the owner of several slaves
living in the state of Virginia, and that she has long
been a resident of this state, but prior to her residence
here, had lived in Virginia; and at the time of her re-
moval, had found it most to her advantage to let said
slaves remain in Virginia; that the necessity for their
stay there no longer exists, and there is now no
longer any possibility of their being of any benefit to
her, unless she can be permitted to remove them to
Frederick county in this state, her place of residence;
and the prayer of said petitioner appearing reasona-
ble: — Therefore,

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly, of
Maryland, That the said Elisabeth Luckett be,, and
she is hereby authorised and empowered, at any time
or times within twelve months after the passage of
this act, to remove and bring into this state the said
negro slaves, or any of them and their issue, in the
same manner that she might or could have done at
the time of her own removal herein, any law to the
contrary thereof, in any wise notwithstanding; Pro-
vided, The said Elisabeth Luckett register the said
