CHAPTER 3.

CHAP. 4.

AN ACT entitled, an Act for Repairing and Fur-
nishing the office of Commissioner of the Land

Office.

Passed Feb.
3, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the sum of one hundred and fifty
dollars is hereby appropriated for repairing and furnish-
ing the Land office, with such case or cases as may be
necessary for the preservation of the papers and records

of said office.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioner

of the land office is hereby authorised to have such re-
pairs done as he may deem necessary, and to draw,
upon the Treasurer for any sum or sums of money,
which may be necessary for repairing the office afore-
said, not exceeding in the aggregate, the sum of one
hundred and fifty dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 4.

In force.

AN ACT to Repeal an Act to limit the time for

which Tobacco Inspectors shall continue to hold

their offices.

30, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the act entitled, an act to limit the
time for which Tobacco Inspectors shall continue to
hold their offices, which passed at the session of eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-six, chapter one hundred and
twenty-two, and which in its first section provides that,
from and after the first day of June next, any person
who shall have been, or who may hereafter be appoint-
ed, a Tobacco Inspector in this State, and who shall
have served or may hereafter serve in said office, for
the term of five years successively, shall not be eligible
to said office again for the space of one year, and it
shall not be lawful for the Governor and Council, after
said day, to re-appoint any such person a Tobacco In-
