LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 343.

are hereby authorised to have levied on the taxable pro-
perty of said districts, an annual sum not exceeding
sixty dollars, for the payment of a teacher in each
district.

Manner of
collecting.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum so levied
in each district, shall be collected in the manner pre-
scribed by the act of December session eighteen hun-
dred and twenty-five, chapter one hundred and sixty-
two, for the collection of taxes for the election of school
houses.

CHAPTER 343.

Passed May
31, 1852.

AN ACT to authorise the librarian to supply the
Acts of Assembly , Dorsey's Compilation of the Laws,
Dorsey's Testamentary Laws and the Revenue
Laws, to certain officers of this State.

Authority to
furnish.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Librarian, be, and he is hereby
authorised and directed, to furnish to the office of the re-
gister of wills of Dorchester county, a complete set of
the Acts of Assembly of this State, Dorsey's Compila-
tion of the Laws and Dorsey's Testamentary Laws.

Authority to
purchase.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Librarian,
be, and he is hereby authorised, to purchase such of
the above books or volumes thereof, as cannot be fur-
nished from the Library for the purposes aforesaid.

Treasurer to
pay.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer, be,
and he is hereby authorised, to pay upon the warrant of
the Comptroller, to the Librarian, such sum as he shall
expend in the purchases authorised by this act.

In force.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
into effect from and after its passage.
