and he is hereby required, before entering upon the
discharge of his duties as Treasurer, to execute a
bond payable to the trustees for the poor, with suffi-
cient securities, to be approved by said trustees, in
the penal sum of six thousand dollars, conditioned as
follows, to wit: "The condition of the above obli-
gation is such, that if the above bound A. B., shall
well and faithfully discharge the duties of Treasurer
of the trustees for the poor, and shall well and faith-
fully account for all moneys that shall come into his
hands as Treasurer, and pay over the said moneys to
the person or persons legally authorised to receive
the same, in accordance with the provisions of this
act, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise
to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the said Treas-
urer shall not pay out any of the funds that shall come
into his hands, unless upon the written order of the
overseer or keeper of said Almshouse, by order of
the said trustees for the poor, or to his successor in
office by order of the succeeding trustees, and the
said Treasurer shall produce before the trustees for
the poor, to be examined by them at every meeting
they shall hold, his book of accounts.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted. That the said trustees
and their clerk shall each be entitled to receive, and
they are hereby allowed two dollars per day for every
day they shall be in session, and for every meeting
they or either of them shall attend; and the said trus-
tees are hereby authorised to allow and pay to the
Treasurer, for his services as Treasurer, any sum not
exceeding fifty dollars per annum, in addition to his
regular per diem allowance to which he shall be en-
titled under this act as one of said trustees.

Compensation.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That said Treasur-
er shall render to said trustees, at their last meeting
during each year, a statement of his account under
oath, and that all accounts settled by the Treasurer
or keeper of the Almshouse with the trustees shall
be on oath or affirmation that they are just and true,
to be administered by any one of the trustees.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the bonds
to be executed by the Treasurer and overseer or
keeper of the Almshouse, as hereinbefore provided,
shall be filed and recorded in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Frederick county, and a
certified copy thereof shall be sufficient evidence in
any suit instituted thereon.
