keep any number of out pensioners, not exceeding ten at any one
time, in addition to the number already authorised by law, upon
the same terms, and under the same circumstances, as are pre-
scribed by an act entitled, An Act to enlarge further the powers
of the trustees of the poor, in the several counties therein men-
tioned, passed at November Session, eighteen hundred and four,
and the supplements thereto.

CHAPTER 4.

A further supplement to an act entitled, "An Act, to incorporate a school
in Allegany county, by the name of Allegany County School."
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, Aza Beall, David
Lynn, William McMahon, George Hoffman, John M. Law-
rence, John Hoye, Joseph Cresap, be, and the same are hereby
constituted and appointed the trustees of Allegany county school;
and they and their successors as such, shall be, and are hereby con-
stituted a corporation and body politic, to have perpetual exis-
tence, by and under the name of The Trustees of Allegany Coun-
ty School; and under their corporate name, may sue and be sued;
may have a common seal, which they may break, alter or renew
at their pleasure; and may do all other acts, and exercise all other
powers whatsoever, necessarily incident to their existence as a
corporation.

2. And be it enacted, That the said trustees shall be, and they
are hereby invested with all and singular, the rights, powers and
authorities with which the trustees named in, and incorporated by
the original act, of seventeen hundred and ninety-eight, chapter fifty-
eight, were clothed; and any four or more of them shall constitute
a quorum for the transaction of the business of said corporation;
and in the event of any vacancy occurring in said body, by the
death, refusal to serve, disqualification, resignation, or removal
from the county, any four or more of the said trustees, shall have
full power to appoint a successor to fill said vacancy.

Repeal.

3. And be it enacted, That the act of eighteen hundred and
twenty-three, chapter one hundred and sixty-nine, entitled, a
supplement to an act entitled, An Act to incorporate a school in
Allegany county, by the name of Allegany County. School, be,
and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 5.

An act, to introduce wholesome water into the city of Frederick.
Whereas, The citizens of Frederick, have petitioned this Ge-
neral Assembly, that an act may he passed to incorporate a com-
pany, for the purpose of introducing a supply of wholesome wa-
ter into the city of Frederick. And whereas, the health and con-
venience of the inhabitants, as well as security of property against
the ravages of fire, would be greatly promoted thereby: therefore,
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a company shall be established in the city of Frederick, for
said purpose; the capital stock whereof, shall be ten thousand
dollars, divided into five hundred shares; and that subscriptions
to constitute said stock, shall on the first monday of March next,
be opened in said city, under the superintendance of the following
