CHAP. X.

An Act authorising Basil Bowling, lace Collector and Sheriff of Prince-George's
County, to complete his Collection,

Whereas, it is represented to this general assembly, by the
petition of Basil Bowling, late collector and sheriff of Prince-
George's county, that from various causes therein set forth, he has
not been able to complete his collection within the time limited by
law, and that there is still due to him, as collector of said county,
considerable sums of money; and praying a law may pass to ena-
ble him to collect the same, therefore,
1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the said Basil Bowling be and he is hereby authorised to collect,
until the first day of January eighteen hundred and twenty-one,
all balances due him as collector and sheriff of Prince-George's
county, for the year eighteen hundred and sixteen and seventeen,
in the same manner as he could or might have done within the
time limited by law, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the said Basil
Bowling, before he proceeds to execute or distrain the property of
any person or persons for taxes or public dues in virtue of this
act, to deliver to such person or persons chargeable with the same,
at least thirty days previous to levying such execution or distress,
an account, written in words at full length, of the taxes or public
dues demanded of him or them, with an affidavit annexed, if re-
quired, that he hath not. received any part thereof, nor any thing
as security or satisfaction for the same, more than credit given, to
the best of his knowledge.
3. And be it enacted, That the said Basil Bowling, before he de-
rives any benefit from or under this act, shall lodge a copy of hie
collection books in the clerk's office of Prince-George's county, to
be open for the inspection of all persons interested in the same.

CHAP. XI.

An Act to prevent Bullet Playing in Washington and Allegany Counties.
Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland. That, if any
person or persons, after the first day of April next, shall be found
playing at bullets in the public streets of any town in Washington
or Allegany counties, or any of the public roads or highways in
said counties, each and every person so playing shall be liable to be
presented or indicted therefor in the county where the offence may
have been committed, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined,
in the discretion of the court, a sum not exceeding fifty dollars.

CHAP. XII.

An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Charles County to dispose of the Property
therein mentioned.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly, of Maryland, That the
justices of the levy court of Charles county, be and they are
hereby authorised, to pull down, or otherwise dispose of, as they
may deem most expedient, the house in which the offices of clerk
and register are held.
