MESSAGE FROM THE SENATE
By Senator Turnbull:

SENATE OF MARYLAND

ANNAPOLIS, MD., March 13, 1958.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your Message notifying the Senate of the organiza-
tion of your Honorable Body, and proposing a joint committee of five
members, three to be appointed upon the part of the House and two upon
the part of the Senate, to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the
General Assembly is now prepared to receive any communication which he
may desire to make.

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint committee
of five members and have appointed on the part of the Senate, Senators
Nock and Phoebus.

We also desire to inform you that the Senate is organized, the
Honorable Louis L. Goldstein having been elected Presdent and J. Waters
Parrish having been elected Secretary of the Senate.

ordinary Session of March 13, 1958: J. Waters Parrish, of Baltimore
County, to be Secretary of the Senate J. Roy Hill, of Howard County, to be
Assistant Secretary of the Senate, Lawrence E. Birge of Talbot County,
to be Journal Clerk of the Senate, Oden Bowie of Prince George's County,
to be Assistant Journal Clerk of the Senate, Charles Cohen, of Baltimore
City to be Reading Clerk of the Senate. Milton L. Dennis, of Worcester
County, to be Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate, Lawrence Korycki of Balti-
more City to be Chief Page of the Senate.
