Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 726A of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sentence", to include
the counties of the fourth judicial circuit, being Allegany, Garrett
and Washington counties, AND THE COUNTIES OF THE SEV-
ENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, BEING CALVERT, CHARLES,
PRINCE GEORGE'S AND ST. MARY'S COUNTIES, under the
provision allowing said courts to suspend sentence or grant proba-
tion under certain circumstances. MAKING THE PROVISIONS
OF SAID SECTION ALLOWING COURTS TO SUSPEND SEN-
TENCE OR GRANT PROBATION UNDER CERTAIN CIR-
CUMSTANCES STATE-WIDE IN APPLICATION AS TO THE
CIRCUIT COURTS IN THE SEVERAL COUNTIES AND THE
CRIMINAL COURT OF BALTIMORE CITY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 726A of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title
"Sentence", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
726A. Suspension of sentence, probation, etc., in second, FOURTH
AND SEVENTH judicial circuit. CIRCUITS.
The circuit courts for Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline and
Talbot counties, comprising the second judicial circuit of Maryland
[,] and the circuit courts for Allegany, Garrett and Washington
eounties comprising the fourth judicial circuit of Maryland, AND
THE CIRCUIT COURTS FOR CALVERT, CHARLES, PRINCE
