County", sub-title "Budget Department", being Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, to follow immediately
after Section 173 of said Article, authorizing the Board of County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County to make semi-annual levy
on certain property for real property taxes and relating generally
to such levy and its collection.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 173A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Budget Department", being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, to follow
immediately after Section 173 of said Article, and to read as follows:

173A. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County shall,
in its discretion, be authorized, after adoption of appropriate resolu-
tion, to make a semi-annual levy, as of June 1 of each year on new real
property substantially completed as of April 1 and the county real
property tax so levied shall be payable as of July 1 for the period of
six months. All annual tax rates shall apply in making the semi-
annual levy, provided that they shall be adjusted to apply to the
fraction of the year. All funds so collected be credited in the same
manner as provided by Budget for the current year.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(House Bill 214)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section (c)
of Section 22 of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "State Roads", sub-title "Distribution and
Use of Special Funds", relating to the date and manner of making
certain reports to the State Roads Commission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (c) of Section 22 of Article 89B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "State Roads", sub-title
"Distribution and Use of Special Funds", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(c) The mileage proportions required by Sub-division (a) and,
when applicable by Sub-division (b) of this section shall be computed
by the State Roads Commission as of June 30, 1947, for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1947, and recomputed as of December 1, 1947, for
