Senate Bill No. 8—By the President:

Subject: MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR
THE PAYMENT OF THE EXPENSES OF THE GENERAL AS-
SEMBLY OF MARYLAND FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY SESSION
OF 1961.

Mr. Della from the Rules Committee recommended Senate Bill No.

8 be re-referred to the Finance Committee.

Said recommendation was approved and Senate Bill No. 8 was re-
referred to the Finance Committee.

Senator Northrop asked that the rules be suspended in order to re-
port the following bill and two-thirds of the Senators-elect, voting in the
affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and nays as follows:

Subject: "DORCHESTER COUNTY", sub-title "FIRE DEPART-
MENTS", PROVIDING FOR AN APPROPRIATION BY THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS TO TAYLOR'S ISLAND VOLUNTEER FIRE COM-
PANY, INC., ETC.

heading "STATE HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION BONDS, SECOND
ISSUE", PROVIDING THAT THE STATE ROADS COMMISSION
SHALL NOT ISSUE IN ANY FISCAL YEAR ON BEHALF OF DOR-
CHESTER COUNTY, BONDS IN EXCESS OF THE FACE AMOUNT
OF ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150, 000).
