Senate Bill No. 6<—By Senator Malkus:

A Bill entitled: "An Act to propose an amendment to Section 5 of
Article III of the Constitution of Maryland, title 'Legislative Department',
revising the provisions concerning the membership of the House of
Delegates and the representation of the several political sub-divisions
therein, and submitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the
State for adoption or rejection. "

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

Senate Bill No. 7—By Senator Malkus:

A Bill entitled: "An Act to propose an amendment to Section 5 of
Article III of the Constitution of Maryland, title 'Legislative Department',
revising the provisions concerning the membership of the House of Dele-
gates and the representation of the several political sub-divisions therein,
providing for a system of delegate districts and sub-districts in the several
counties and legislative districts, and submitting this amendment to the
qualified voters of the State for adoption or rejection. "

Senate Resolution urging the courts to desist from their recent
usurpation of legislative functions.
