Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 30 and 31 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles
County (1959 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County", sub-title "Circuit Court",
and the sub-title "Circuit Court", thereof, be and they are hereby
repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to add new Section 29A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Charles County (1959 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County", to follow
immediately after Section 29 thereof and to be under the new
sub-title "Charles County Civil War Centennial Commission", to
establish the Charles County Civil War Centennial Commission,
to name its members, and to provide for its powers, duties and
appropriations.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 29A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Charles County (1959 Edition, being Article 9 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County", to
follow immediately after Section 29 thereof, to be under the new sub-
title "Charles County Civil War Centennial Commission", and to read
as follows:
Charles County Civil War Centennial Commission
29A. (a) The Charles County Civil War Centennial Commission is
hereby established for the purpose of commemorating the role of
Charles County in the American Civil War.
(b) The members of the Commission shall be the following persons:
P. D. Brown, Chairman
Phillip D. Lines
F. DeSales Mudd
Konrad Zoll
C.Louise Cox
W. A. Fowke, and one member of the County Commissioners
selected by the Commissioners. The members shall serve without pay
