be affected, if any should be introduced, 'there is hereby added
to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, Senator Frank Du-
vall, of Anne Arundel county; said Senator to be a member
of said Committee on Judicial Proceedings only for the pur-
pose of discussing, reporting and voting upon Bills relating
to the extension of the limits of Baltimore city, which affect
in any way the limits of Anne Arundel county.
The committee, upon an examination of the records of the
State, namely the House of Delegates Journal of 1886 and
1888, and the Senate Journals of 1886 and 1888, report as
follows:
That in the Senate Journal of the Session of 1886 they find
the following entry:
"Mr. Raynor introduced a Bill to extend the limits of Bal-
timore city by including and annexing a part or portion of
Baltimore county and to provide for taking a vote of the
people residing in said part or portion so to be annexed for
or against such annexation, which was referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings. "
And in the House of Delegates Journal of 1888 they find
the following:
"By Mr. Denny: Leave granted to the Baltimore city dele-
gation to introduce a Bill, entitled 'An Act to extend the
limits of Baltimore city, including therein parts of Baltimore
county, to be referred to a special committee consisting of
nine (9) members, who shall be appointed by the speaker as
follows: three from Baltimore city, three from Baltimore
county and three from other sections of the State, ' "
These being the two sections after which the Bills relating
to the4 extension of the territory of Baltimore city were origi-
nated. [Which report and rule were read and adopted. ]
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Holmead, from Committee on Printing, reported: "Or-
dered, That the State Printer furnish three hundred additional
copies of the Mayor and City Council Annexation Bill, intro-
duced February 4, 1916, by Senator Campbell, at the rate of
$1. 50 per printed page, same to be taken from the appropria-
tion for State printing for this session; also three hundred
copies of Annexation Bill No. 47, introduced by Senator Og-
den, " with the recommendation that it be referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance. [Which was so referred. ]
At 9 o'clock P, M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
adjourned until Tuesday, February 8, at 12 o'clock noon.
